So this is May Day! A traditional spring planting festival from the beginning of culture, May Day was coopted after the Haymarket affair in Chicago in the 1800's by workers rights people and labor unions. The police had broken up a protest by slightly shooting everyone to death, and people were like "we need a holiday". Various groups have since coopted the day as a "Loyalty" day or similar such things in countries where workers have less rights than ours. Now there are marches and protests on the streets on May Day. People throw rocks through windows at big stores and banks. as if banks don't have window insurance. As if the cost of a few windows matter to companies with billions in profits. As if they cared. As if you care.
That's what this comic is about.
